The September dates of the reunion was moved to The BHS Class '56 golden anniversary reunion, a 3-day affair was held on February 25, 26 and 27, 2006, was moved from September, 2006. The reunion night gala was at the Ruperto's Inland Resort and Hotel, Linmansangan, Binalonan, Pangasinan. Rated as very successful, everyone present enjoyed the night with the program, with a continuous live music provided by a band, dancing was almost non-stop all night long 'till 2:00 am the next morning. That was fun. Met a lot of my former classmates, locally and from abroad. A welcome remarks by our own Demet and Manuel Diaz, emceed by Herminia J Madayag of Hawaii and Thomas Asuncion of Seattle, WA. The invocation was officiated by Father Alberto Viernes, SVD of Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Urdaneta Pangasinan.
To those who missed, one of the best, be there next time.
There were some donations. The second day was held at Demet & Edith Demetria's residence in Capaz, Binalonan. The Demetria's offered their residence for the second day picnic and donated all the food, except some lechon from Ester Hugo Yanza of Guam and others.
The third day was at Hotel Vislas owned and operated by the Demetria's family. Again, food served was free donated by the Demetria's.
I called it "what a country".
Someone has to start talking regarding election of officers of the class '56. We don't have any yet.
