Do you screen out certain costumes for your kids SM

during Halloween? My 10-year-old wants to be a devil, and I said no. He says I'm the meanest mom in the world, and his dad thinks I'm being too strict. I just don't like the idea of actually being Satan for Halloween!

Do you tell your kids what they can and can't dress as? Opinions please.
