about the ex moving to a different town with her boyfriend and the kids. I say talk because she never actually told DH that she is moving--she let the kids call him and tell him, with her making a comment here and there about it. We decided not to play her game and ask--we will just let time tell us if they do move or not.
Well, DH decided he needed to talk to SS about moving and/or living with us--just so SS knows he can talk to us about it if he wants. Well, the ex asked SS if it came down to going to court about custody, where would he want to live. SS told her he would want to live with his dad. She said, "(SS's name)why would you want to live with him? He doesn't take you anywhere fun or buy you stuff." What is wrong with her? This is what she does, she tries to buy her own kids' love and it isn't working with SS. Granted,for the time being it is with SD, but she is only 7.
SS is 11. He has been through a lot in his few years, watching guys move in and out and has seen his mom's actions. He has no respect for her whatsoever. I have heard the way he talks to her and he has NEVER and I don't think would ever talk to me or DH that way. He respects us for what we DO give him, which is love and take care of his needs. We rarely go out to eat or movies or things of that nature because with 2 adults and 5 kids, it would break the bank to do it too often. Instead, we go for drives out in the country or go to see DH's parents. The kids beg to do this cause we can have fun as a family w/o spending a lot of cash.
I really didn't mean to ramble on so long here! Just have so much I could say! And me2, thanks for always reading these and answering me back. We are very careful about what we say and never, ever say anything in front of the children. ACtually, we go have our talks out in the truck! The kids can't hear us say turn off the TV, but once we start talking about something we don't want them to hear, their little radar picks it up! Our little truck talks have been happening quite often now and are really nice cause we get to vent and not worry about any little ears hearing us.
