Pack the Family and Friends for $25.00 Car Load Night this Saturday, August 1st at Owosso Speedway.

Ovid, Michigan (Wednesday, July 29, 2009): Coming up THIS Saturday, August 1st, the Owosso Speedway moves into the "dog days" of Summer with hot racing action as it is Car Load night at the Big "O." Pack as many family and friends as you can into your personal vehicle and get into the races for only $25.00.
As for the action on the track, the battles for the 2009 Weekly Local Racing Series divisions builds up momentum as the Wieland Contracting Modifieds return and will headline $25.00 Car Load Night at the Big "O" Joining the open-wheeled Modifieds will be the Affordable Tire and Service Center Pro Stocks, RacingPartSales.com Pure Stocks, and Fast Track Promotions Sport Stocks.
In addition, SPECTATOR DRAGS will be conducted during intermission as fans in the grandstands can bring those vehicles they brought everybody to the races with, onto the track and go head to head with fellow race fans.
Also on the card will be the WORLD FAMOUS Hot Dog Race! Will 20-time defending Hot Dog Race Champion, George "The Animal" Harris win his 21st consecutive Hot Dog Race? Or will a newcomer break the unprecedented streak of wins Harris has accumulated over the past 20 seasons?
Pit Gates open at "High Noon" 12:00p.m., Rotating Practice begins at 2:00p.m., while the Grandstand Gates swing open at 4:00p.m. Qualifying starts at 5:00p.m., and Racing is set for 7:00p.m.
General Admission Prices for Saturday, August 1st are: Adults (18-59): $12.00 - Seniors (60 and Up): $10.00 - Students (9-16): $8.00 - Kids (8 and Under) are always FREE. Pit Passes are $25.00.
