| Comments | Unlike the other 2 people who commented about this years show, I do not feel cheated and do not fault the Lions Club. They are offering refunds for those of you who want them, but I for one am grateful that there is still a drum corp show in the area. The Lions Club is a charity organization and I consider my ticket price a charitable donation every year with the bonus of getting to see a great drum corp show. My dad, an ex drum corp guy, and I attend every year and it is our special night together. This year we sat under umbrellas together and prayed for the rain to stop but we were still together. So to the Lions Club I say thank you, no hard feelings and keep doing what you do!To the corps, come back next year, can't wait to see you and keep on doing what you do! |

| Comments | when you sell tickets and you say you are playing rain or shine then that is what you do . not take 22 dollars a ticket and then not play due to rain . you have cheated the people . and for this you will not get support from myself or any friends of mine ...... | Comments | I was saddened not to be able to see the show on Wednesday evening, but certainly understand the need for safety for the young people playing. This was to be my first visit as we rarely have extra money to spend on entertainment and were extremely disappointed. I am sorry that the Ft. Edward Lions club feels no responsibility nor planned anything as an alternative for the rain as the rain was not something that was unexpected. As the Ft. Edward Lions Club really offers no kind of apology to the inconvenience nor cost to the many individuals who paid to come to the show I am disappointed in them as a group and certainly feel you are a poor example of leadership in the area. I will unfortunately not be able to show support for any future fund raisers for programs offered by this group. |

| Comments | I just wanted to thank the members of the Fort Edward Lions Club with all of my heart for their hospitality, concern and assistance at the 2006 Adirondack Drums Competition. They were extremely helpful and considerate to my sister (who is handicapped) and went out of their way to find her and I excellent seats and even a wheelchair for her to use after the show. Also, I lost my camera and I wanted to thank Dick Forte and Terry Johnson for the time they spent helping me search for it. The great news was that a very honest and generous gentleman from South Glens Falls, by the name of Jim Oakes, did find my camera the night of the show. He actually found it in the parking lot and then spent hours trying to locate me. Once we did connect, he returned it to me in person at my place of work. I was thrilled to get it back. The whole experience of the 2006 Adirondack Drums was truly a very special event for me and my sister and I cannot thank all of you enough!! It opened my eyes and renewed my faith as to the kind of truly wonderful people there are living here in Upstate New York. I'm sincerely grateful and look forward to attending the show again. :-) Thank you ALL! |
