hi...i wanted to ask if i can keep RES turtle in india or not..i have heard for many people and pet shop keepers about turtles are banned in india.according to wildlife conservation act 1972 indian turtles are banned for keeping as a pet.but does RES as a terapin is also banned for keeping in india.i found 5 RES turtles thrown in a plastic bag one month ago..i brought them home n m taking care of them since then..now m becoming to love them as a pet n i do whatever possible for them.i searched all websites about turtle keeping and according to austinturtlepage.com i made all the stuff whatever necessary for keeping RES.and now they are healthy n growing.and i like those small guys growing :)and playing.but the confusion of ban in keeping turtles is making me worried.is it real.i just wanted to know if i can keep them as my pet or shall i give them to sanctuary or zoo.but i know they cant take care of those little babies as i do.plz help...
