Hi, I recently was given two small RES turtles as a gift for my dorm. I am a third year student so i have my schedule down pretty good and my parents thought it would be a nice idea. I never had turtles so i tried to do a lot of research on them. I've had them for a week and i already feel like a worried parent. I can't get them to get out of the water and i'm worried about soft shell.
Also the issue is we have two tanks and my mom figured that over the holidays when i come home for weeks at a time i can just transport the turtles instead of the tank each time. I know they get accustomed to their environment so i dont know about this idea bu i know i cant be moving the tank non-stop.
Has anyone had turtles in college and can help me with some advice.
