hi, i have 2 RES (red ear slider) turtles, i bought them almost 2 years ago, they were 2-3 inch long, the person from whom i got the turtles lied to me that this is the maxium size for RES and they might stretch another inch (max), i was not aware of the breed and also that its illegal to keep turtles and when i 1st saw them i fell in love with them and i still love them and dont want to loose them but they have grown more than twice their size and i have them in a 3ft long 1ft tall and 1ft wide aquarium which is too small for them, and they have become aggressive and often fight for dominance. i cant afford to buy a big aquarium for them, so i have decided to release them but i need big help. i dont want to give them to a pet shop, as these people have no love for such beautiful creatures and they will sell them to anyone who gives them money. i want to give my pets to some Ngo or some animal welfare organization or to someone who can provide them big shelter where they can roam easily and get proper care, someone who has experience in keeping turtles, even though it would be very hard for me to give away my pets but i want my turtles to be healthy and happy and i dont want money in return.
please help me in finding a new home for my pets, i need to know where/whom to give my pets
