when they are mating, the male turtle gets on top of the female turtle and ... gives her his sperm. then, the female turtle will find an area to lay her eggs. they are normally buried in a corner of the enclosure or in a giant dirt pile if you have one of those (that's where I found our eggs). when you find eggs, you should immediatly mark the top of the shell, so that when you move them into a better area, you know which side was facing up (since the turtles know how to get out that way). is there anything else you would like to know?
