I bought my two turtles together because they were off on the side of a tank in a store when I was browsing... I would discuss with your local pet store (someone who knows what they are talking about). If you do get another, make sure they are the same type of turtle as this will probably make a difference in behavior toward each other.
: Please help us. We have a red eared slider who is about 9 months old. We want to get him a companion. Is he too old to introduce another turtle to the tank? We're afraid he is lonely. What if we get another turtle and they don't get along? Will they eventually learn to live with each other, or will they fight?
