Not quite a year ago I bought 2 baby turtles from the same pet store. They are both Redear slyder's and one has had it's eyes closed for maybe a month now. I took him out to check for a few minutes and he would open them but as soon as I put him/her back in the tank they were closed again. Not sure what is wrong with him/her. It swims around the tank fine but will not eat or open its eyes.
Another question is Im not sure what sex they are. One has a lighter shell and would dig in sand when it was little, I no longer have sand in the tank and it started out smaller than the other and is now bigger. The other one (with the eye problem) is darker shelled. We checked the rear area and couldn't tell any difference between the two.
