I'm not sure what type of turtle it is but in September I bought two baby turtles too. At first they wouldn't eat and I knew nothing about them. Then I did some research.. If they are definitely aquatic turtles (which is all I know about), the little tanks aren't enough for them. They need lighting for basking, plenty of water for swimming.. a goof filtration system. I feed mine reptomin baby and romaine lettuce. Usually about as much as they can consume in 5-10 minutes. It varies by turtle. Good luck! Oh and I never take mine out of the tank to play. I occasionally reach my hand over it and hold them but they are very scared.
