RESs can be aggressive with each other especially a larger turtle with a small new baby turtle. also, with 2 you need twice the tank space -- considered at 10 gallons per inch in length, per turtle. So two full grown females (which can reach 12" in length) would need a TWO HUNDRED FORTY gallon tank to be properly housed.

Take good care of the one you have, is my advice.
