I tell you what, I HATED the start of the school year in TX. Pensacola wasn't a picnic, but when we came to TX, the first day of school had always been a joke, and this was staring on the last week of Aug! I asked my mom last week if there was any year that I didn't complain about the AC breaking down either just before we get there or very shortly afterward. She couldn't remember a cool start for neither me nor my sister.
Thankfully, Trey's school's track record has been pretty good so far (4/4). Today was the first day of school for him, and the building was nice and cool. We are STILL looking at 100+ for at least another week or two!! (*:O It's a shame that they have to make a law (in effect beginning 2007-2008 school year) to ensure that school doesn't start any sooner than the last week of August. We have to make laws to make sure education heads practice common sense?? It blows the mind.
If I get any cools before you do, I'll try to blow it your way!
