My high-schooler got out May 16 (but returns first week in Aug). He's a shameless loafer right now but--Big Mean Mama has the list of reading classics he has to plow thru (Jane Eyre, For Whom the Bell Tolls) AND I volunteered him for 75 hrs of commun. service here at a local hospital which is a requirement for college scholarshp stuff down the road.

Oh...and I bought a big book of practice SAT exams and he's going to take a few practice tests for fun (NOT). Ha ha...all unstructured time is his goal but, uh, Mean Mama here is creating a little academic structure in his dream of Lazy Summer Days.

Oh...and his summer started two weeks ago and...HE'S ALREADY COMPLAINING OF BEING BORED! LOL
