: My oldest is in 8th grade. She has alwyas struggled in one subject or another. Junior High started last year and when she's brought home a poor progress report, she's always managed to pull her grade up basically at the last minute by doing extra work or retaking tests, etc. I don't want her relying on that type of thing though. This year, she seems to be struggling a bit more. High school will be here before we know it, and it's not going to get easier for her, so we're looking into tutoring. From what I can tell, there doesn't seem to be any real tutoring program through the school district, so we're looking into places like Sylvan and a place called ClubZ where they actually come to your home. Anyway, is there anyone that has had to set up tutoring for their child here? Good experience? Bad experience? Are there specific things I should look for a in tutor? Any info is appreciated.
