SCW Ringside Report for 7/2/09

Posted by Seth Hill on July 02, 2009 at 03:01:51:

Hello again SCW fans , and welcome to another edition of Ringside Report! I’m Seth Hill, and I’m here to tell you about some of the action that went down last Saturday Night at the Gordon Arena, and also a few rumors.

As soon as Beavins got finished with his announcements, out comes none other than Eric Draven. He tells the Commissioner he deserves a title shot against Ricky Ruckus, because he did pretty good in Surviving the Steel. Apparently Draven thought third was as just as good as first, and well, he just feels he deserves it. So he challenges the champ, Ricky, never being one to back down from an opportunity to beat up Draven, came on out to answer the challenge. The comissh informs us all that Ricky is in no shape to wrestle, due to the injury he sustained in his match at STS with BW3, and of course this infuriates Draven who’s now even more obsessed with the shot now that he can’t get it. He says some smart ass things, Ricky takes matters in to his own hands, mayhem ensues, Draven ends up on his back, and out of NOWHERE Billy Mattern comes out and makes a challenge to Draven since Ricky can’t wrestle, Draven accepts , and reminds the fans that Billy has never won a match. He then promises that if he doesn’t get a title shot, BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN. And we all know when Eric Draven says things like that, he means business.

The first match FINALLY got under way, and Tello Ozeta came out to take on Mr. U.S.A. in a rematch from the week before that Mr.U.S.A. had asked for. Tello said he admired the kids heart, but still goaded him into a cheap shot in the very beginning, and it was mostly Tello and his powerful offense. In the end, Tello was too much for the masked patriot, and fell victim the the awesome kryptonite krush maneuver, and Tello got the victory. But what happened after the match is what drew the jeers and boos of the fans, is ello screamed at Beabins that he wasn’t getting respect from the matchmaker. Beavins said nothing and watched as Tello took a cinder block, and placed in on top of Mr.U.S.A.’s ankle, and smashed it with a baseball bat repeatedly until Elmore Fudd came out to make the save for his new found tag team partner. Tello slid out and told Fudd that he would deal with him later. The initial report I get, is that there IS an injury, but the office and Mr. U.S.A.’s camp are both being silent. No extent or length of time Mr. U.S.A. will be out. More on this story when I get it.

In the next segment, Jeremy called for a special guest, and shocked the entire arena when he played BW3’s music, and BW3, in in typical, brash from, told the fans of a plan he hatched with Beavins to shut down the A.W.A. He said Beavins had offered him a contract back to SCW with no strings attached, if he helped shut down the company, and that’s what he did. He told the fans he had lied to everyone in the back, he had lied to the fans, and he had gotten away with it, and it was because of him that A.W.A. was no more. Well, Robbie Rotten and Jesse Lee were sitting in the crowd, and they kind of took exception to Biff flushing their company in the toilet, so they jumped the rail, and in one last anarchy blast jumped BW3, and threw him in the ring. And to mine and I’m sure their surprise too, the fans erupted in cheers for the Outcasts. But out of nowhere, the Towers of Power emerged, and I couldn’t help myself, I yelled “What is going on?” when they pounced on the Outcasts, and helped up Biff. Beavins called for order, and told Rotten that if he could beat BW3 in a match later that night, he and Jesse Lee would also receive SCW contracts.

The next match on the slate we going to talk about this week is “Sweet” William Valentine taking on the “Wild Thing” Chuck McRoberts. SWV cam out and told the crowd that he was so happy that Big and Tasty had won Surviving the Steel, and I heard a woman in the next row yell “You didn’t win, Trusty did!” And SWV heard that woman too, and he said “I ASSISTED in the win, and as CONTRACTED Tag Team Partner to “Playboy” Mike Trusty, I own a portion of the title shot too.” Wow. Out comes Chuck, declares that SWV is the ONLY reason Trusty won, SWV foolishly puts up the title shot, which I believe wouldn’t have held water anyway, and the match is on. Chuck started the match as he always does, high octane and full throttle. SWV was eventually able the slow the pace, as he prefers a slower paced affair, and took control. Chuck made his come back, and as he hit the Steamroller on SWV, I knew it was over, and out of nowhere BW3 materialized again, and hit Chuck with the funnel. The referee was confidently distracted by Crystal Lake. Our ref this week was Justin Blaze, and he’s young, and he don’t know no better, ya’ll know what he was thinking, SWV roils over, 1,2,3. That’s it. I was wondering why did Biff do that? Was he against Chuck, or was he still tied to SWV? Only time would tell.

Beavins then called out the newest graduate of the SCW training academy, Jesse Watson. He congratulated Watson and asked him if he was excited about being in the SCW. He stated that he was, it had always been his dream to be a pro wrestler, and the SCW Wrestling Academy did that for him. Before Jesse could say much of anything else, Yukon Tom, who is also a graduate of the SCW academy must’ve took some kind of offense to the kid being on the show, or maybe he didn’t like Watson when they trained together, I don’t know. For whatever reason Tom wanted to, he came out and beat this kid up, for no apparent reason.

Our next featured match this week on the report will the match between Eric Draven and Billy Mattern. And as I knew, it was almost all Draven, I mean, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen Draven act that mean Jack! The match ended when Draven PILEDROVE Billy on the CONCRETE FLOOR. Did you just read what that said? Needless to say, Billy was hurt. Enough was enough, and out came the sheriff of the SCW, “Superbeast” Robert Royale. Royale took the mic and went on a Tirade about the Commissioner. He raised the SAME POINT I did last week, why was the Commissioner absent from the biggest show of the year? And then he pointed out that most importantly, he forgot to put the “Superbeast” on the biggest show of the year. He said he could not believe what was happening to Beavins, turning a blind eye to all the wrong doings, all the beatings, all the three on ones, and extreme actions. He asked if Beavins wouldn’t deal out justice, he would. He was the Sherriff of SCW, and he was going to carve a path of Justice through the heart of SCW, and the commissioner should not stand in his way, and give him the men he feels need to be dealt with. He told us all who he was, we all loved it. Beavins announces that later on Superbeast will be competing in a match.

The Towers of Power came out for their match with the Marksmen version TWO as I like to call them, and had BW# in tow. Scott Abyss got on the mic and told the crowd that they were no longer the T.O.P., and now wanted to be known as the D.S.P., or the Dirty South Players. I say, hey you guys are big, I’ll call you whatever, it’s still a three letter acronym for me, so hey, I’m cool with it. Anyways, Fudd made a hot tag as the DT.O…oh, sorry, D.S.P. failed to capitalize on putting away Elmira Fudd, and I got to think that it was just rookie mistakes that did not solidify the match. Fudd hit the big bulldog, and the Hunter’s Elbow, and BW3 pulled the ref out. Maybe the Fudds had the win, maybe not, but Biff had seen enough, as he pulled his new friends into the dressing room. I’m sorry folks, but I do see good things for the D.S.P. in the future, and now they are aligned with BW3, I think it will bring out a whole new side of the kids from Miami. I only wonder, could Queen Raven be far behind for this new faction?

BW3 came back out for his challenge match to take on Robbie Rotten for Rotten and his partner Jesse Lee to get SCW contracts. Rotten hit the ring and was showing that he was fighting for his shot. And he was fighting Biff with the same hate he showed for SCW the week before, but strangely the fans who booed him and his partner, now cheered as when the ref’s back was turned Lee put the boots to Biff on the outside after Rotten threw Biff into the steps. The S.P.D, watching their new dude’s back, came out and put a stop to it. Lee backed off. BW3 managed to get the advantage, using his underhanded tactics, and gained control. But to the trained eye, you could see ,like Ricky, Biff still showed signs from his cage match last Saturday. In case you missed it, Biff fell fifteen feet to the floor. You could see his ribs were hurting. Rotten took advantage, and hit Biff with a devastating Vader Splash in the corner, but was distracted when Lee got jumped in the corner by the D.S.P. Rotten went to help his friends, but was stopped by the ref who was also trying to break up the fight and send the D.S.P. to the back. This was all the time BW3 would need, as out of nowhere he hit the funnel. Did I say out of nowhere? Yeah, I meant it, when out of NOWHERE, Chuck McRoberts was on the top rope, and nailed BW3 with a picture perfect Spinning Moonsault. Rotten crawled over to Biff, Justin saw the pin, slid in and three seconds later, the Outcasts had contracts. I was impressed. And Biff, for all this crowing and bragging he does about being the best, and how he’s a “Superstar”, he ain’t showed me NOTHING since he’s been back.

Beavins then gets on the mic and announces the main event of the evening will be Yukon Tom and Eric Draven taking on the team of Jesse Watson and the Superbeast. And because Superbeast challenged him to dish out justice, since Chuck had interfered in Biff’s match, he was adding BW3,and Chuck, and making it elimination style! The crowd let forth a cheer, I did too, and it was on.

Royale started for his team, and was on fire. He was lighting up all three members of the opposite team, and tagged in Watson. Watson started strong, but his inexperience was exposed quickly. Draven, Biff, and Tom punished the kid for what seemed like twenty minutes, and in a last surge, rolled Eric Draven into fisherman’s suplex with a bridge, and got his first three count EVER on Eric Draven. How’s that for a debut? But Watson spent too much time celebrating, and fell victim to the “funnel”. But while BW3 was verbally assaulting the Rookie, Chuck kicked Biff and nailed him with the F-16 to eliminate BW#. As soon as the D.S.P. saw their guy get pinned, they jumped in and nailed Chuck with a devastating double team move, and left him easy pickings for Yukon Tom. Tom choke slammed Chuck, and Chuck was gone. That left Royale and Tom. Superbeast unleashed on Tom, and speared him into next week, and became the Sole Survivor of the match.

I can’t believe I gotta wait until July 11th for the next show!! No show this week, due to the Madison Regatta, and 4th celebration. But I’ll have another Ringside Report between now and then, and we’ll see if we can’t get some of the matches that will be signed for that week. Stay tuned and keep your eyes and ears for rumors, they surround us every day! I’m Seth Hill, and I’ll see you soon…..RINGSIDE!!!!!!
