: Hey, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I've got a 1970 ish C90 and I want to put a lifan 110 in it. Don't know if I'll go semi-auto or manual yet? But i've got an old mighty mini 125 engine and I thought I'd just see what the fit would be like. The top bolt fits fine but the lower won't. Ive seen and heard loads of people have done it. Need your help. Thanks Tom

Hi Tom.I have a 1970 C90 into which I fitted a Lifan 110 engine,3 years ago,it's just coming up to 5K miles.I had to cut into the frame a little bit to get the the bolt holes to line up and use spacers as the 6v Honda engine is wider than the 12V/Lifan.As I had a spare 12V loom going spare, together with handle bar twistgrip and light/horn switch I used these, which needed packing between the handlebars, but I am told you can use the 6V loom.I had to cut and reweld the original footrests, but a 12V set will bolt staight on.The exhaust was also a problem but I think this was due to me not getting the engine in quite the right position.Regarding the 125 engine, these have been fitted a number of times but I have no information on them. You will find the lads who have done this at www.cub90.co.uk and I'm sure they will be glad to assist you.
