Not if it's the 12v model. Only the neutral indicator, fuel gauge, horn, brake lights and indicators are fed from the battery. Everything else is ac, thus only operative when the engine is running. The 6volt models are wired quite differently and I am fairly sure the pilot lamp is fed from the battery on those models.
