Maybe the so-called "Christians" are already given out-- as in they've already spent their money on their own church pastors and projects and can't afford to give more...
Frankly, I don't see why there should be a distinction in anyone's mind or opinion re. what is the belief system or practice of faith of someone who gives to a person going somewhere on a missionary trip.
I believe that if a person wants to leave travel to another place to act as a missionary and then criticize or speculate as to the whys and wherefores of those that donate, they should fund their part of the project themselves, or put something in place where they're not apprised of who did how much giving of $$....
Then again, I'm not a big fan of soliciting funds for travel abroad, for any purpose. I think it's bogus, no matter who is doing the asking.
