Too bad I read it at 14 or 15. I think I need to re-read it now. I can only remember how wise I thought don Juan was and how cool the descriptions of Castaneda's entheogenic experiences were.
There is such wisdom in the ancient shamanic practices, IMO. I don't think you have to practice their ancient religions to recognize and respect their wisdom.
