it also depends on the area too. Someplaces you can get those meats for less, other places (like here) one specailty box of meat would be 2-3 times more than the $22-23 they have listed.
For my area, we don't have Aldis or dented can stores. We have Lowes Foods, Foodlion, Harris Teeter, and Wal-Mart. LF and FL are about the same in price (across the street from each other), HT is horribly expensive, and WM is the lowest of them all, but not much lower than FL or LF.
When you are truly hungry, those boxes are a wonderful thing. There are things we don't always eat either, but the nonperishable stuff we give to our church for their food bank. And then there are times when we eat every drop of it because that is all we have, whether we like it or not.
