:While I can afford to help, Social Security only goes so far and my budget doesn't include spending money unwisely, nor does it include providing something someone needs so they can spend what they have on things that aren't necessities. To give food to someone who doesn't need it would be a waste of my time, money, and effort.
I'll try to get in touch with him this weekend to see how the situation stands. He hasn't come around asking for work and I'm sure that's because he is already working full time and is quite tired by the time he gets home. While he is young and healthy, his job is very hard labor.
If they need the food, I'll continue to give them what they need, if not, I'll find another family or buy a box of Angel Food for the food pantry at the church where I pick up my order and one for my son (since he is still unemployed)
Thank you..
