there are many OTHER benefits to HSing - i.e., off-season travel bargains!! LOL

Seriously, though!

Not knowing the state you are in, keep records of your expenses and all receipts pertaining to HSing - and Office Depot is especially nice to HSers, just an FYI!

Our state offers a $500 tax credit to HSers, others more, some none - but check it out to help offset some issues for you.

I'm very curious which curriculum you decided on, why you felt HSing was better for her, and what age your child is - DD is lobbying hard to be HS'd and is in private school now, will graduate 8th grade this spring. DS is moving at a rate faster than my ability to keep up and I"m looking at accelerated off-site tutoring in lieu of what I thought was an ideal true Montessori K-12 find.

I'm excited for you and your DD - sending hugs and best wishes for the best outcome for you both!
