homeschoolers to be very successful in homeschooling their children starting in middle school or later. I hope I eventually get that opportunity myself.
If you proceed with this, you might just take it a little slow at first so that the child has a chance to mellow out and gear their mindset for homeschooling. Most times there is a difference in the thought process between home and public education. Most times, homeschooling learning mimics more of the "real world" than public school because it's more about how the child receives the information than about making the child learn certain things a certain way. Plus, you can gear the subjects according to topics which most interest your child, many times COMBINING subjects at the same time so your student grasps them better and advances through the grade at a more rapid pace. Studying Christopher Columbus, for example, can cover areas in geography, history, literature, and even science of that day!
If your child is already ready for homeschooling, then that's virtually half the battle! : D Congratulations and let us know how you're faring!
