My biggest plan with my Little Man is reading, but I do have other activities planned for him. I found a Growing Reader Bible at the library that I'm SERIOUSLY thinking of purchasing. It goes thru the Bible stories from the beginning to the end with different phonetic focus per story. It covers the 44 sounds in the English language. This gives him reading skills AND Scriptural knowledge!
I am still working with Rod and Staff booklet set for preschoolers. Each mini-activity book focuses on basic skills. One book focuses on how to treat and read books, another focuses on numbers, colors, alphabet, Bible story matching, etc. My older son enjoyed these when he was little and Little Man seems to like them b/c he gets to "cut-n-gooooo!!" (he has trouble with his blends still, but we're working on them. :) )
I'm also thinking of seeing if he would like to learn music. He's much more musically inclined than my older son, and I have a DVD/CD set that can teach him. I think I'll learn it myself! :)
May you all have a great start and a great year! : D
