I read a couple of books in the late 90's that were in paperback. They were probably originally published in the mid 90's. They took place in and around London. Contemporary romance. One was about a girl who seduced a celebrity on with the intention of making him fall in love with her and dumping him. She was convinced to do this by a friend who was just dumped by him. Of course, she falls in love with him, he finds out the truth, he leaves, and eventually they live happily ever after. This was written by a popular female British writer, but I have no idea who!
