I'm from South Africa and I read this book before 1990 so it must have been written in the 1980's. If anyone out there can help me I would appreciate it. The story goes like this. His English name was Adam, although he was an Indian. He fell in love with a white girl and they were married by his tradition. Her father send him away and only later she realized that she was to have his child. When the baby boy was born her father and midwife told her he was still born. She and Adam met up again and were then married in her tradition. They had 2 more sons but never forgot their firstborn baby son. Her father later told them that the baby was given to an orphanage. They went in search of him and found him. He was the spitting image of Adam and they were once again a united family.
Please people of America, help a South African trace the title or the author of this book. I can at least start with some information.
