Im desperately trying to remember a book I read about 6 years. 1 of the main characters is Raven, a Hollywood lawyer who falls for a gardener/millionaire landscaper with 3 daughters. She takes him to her high school reunion, they dance, he removes her orchid (her badge of shame from high school).
Another character is a recluse book author that lives in Alaska. Her book gets licensed into a movie and she comes to Hollywood to meet with the producer. He is intrigued and digs into her past and discovers that her father is alive and a veterinarian. The line I remember is “his nose is wet, daddy” (spoken about a horse) at the end when father and daughter are reunited.
