I remember Jack as a Dog Handler in 'Palace Bks'
NI '59-'61, on one occasion a door on a disused coal shed one windy night blew open with a squeal and a bang right near to where Jack was patrolling; Jack, startled drew his .38 Webley and loosed off 5 rounds at the offending door, hitting it once. Curly might also remember the episode.
