We were living at Shorncliffe,and the Signal Platoon was called out to go and dig out a large dog kennels,
We worked for 7 hours to dig a path thru to allow the owners to feed the dogs. I went to the farm house and asked the lady if she could boil up a pot of tea for the lads, she said as the Army held lots of exercises in thier area she didnt want to encourge them in asking for items.
But as I was the senior per I could join them in the kitchen for a cup of tea
I told where to stick her tea.
She reported me to the C;O and I got extra duties for being disrectful to a member of the public..
