Curly remember it well in Oswestry with the IJLB we were confined to barracks for a while unable to get out much as Wales was completely frozen in.we could not use the ranges as the ice was making the rounds do silly things and go everywhere.one Friday our RSM Dusty Smith of the Coldstream Guards made us dig enough of a space around the edge of the square for parade the next day,it took hours, then Saturday morning full of snow again.while i am on the subject of ijlb the Battalion has a Parade next year in Oswestry when a memorial is being put in the local park and dedicated to ex IJLS.the Battalion will march from the town hall to the park for the dedication(probably 100 ex boys)it will certainly be smart.a regular band is playing.Tony T and Mike Sinden have expressed an interest in comming even though not ex IJLs.Tony T could march with us he wouldnt be noticed as an imposter being Pirbright trained but it may be better if Mike just watches. lots of love colin
