Being just a young whipper snapper, I was just leaving school, but I started work on the first Monday in January 1963, on a turkey farm. We had about 4 feet of snow and part of my job was to go in at 0230 each morning and tow the delivery vans from the farm to the main road, as I had the big tractor, a Massy Ferguson 65. Now being a Sussex Regiment a lot of you will know what a bloody tractor is.
