I remember it well 'Ant'. We were living in Douro Road, Howe Barracks and I had to chip off the ice on the insides of the metal framed windows in our house. No water it was frozen. BUT, being army, I had a hexican block and went down into the barracks, obtained water went back to our house, and using the 'block' lit it, and then after a while we had hot water in a metal container. God that was a great year for everyone to use their brains. I wonder what the civilians did?
