We shall be driving off to Germany on the 18th. I have just received pictures from our hosts of snow there at this time, of 2 feet deep. Hope we make it. Shall be back 29th.
May I, and Margaret extend our Christmas Greetings to all of you out there in the wide world, from Belize to Germany, from France to Ireland. From Malta to Cyprus from Spain to Gibraltar. The camaraderie on this site is second to none. I am so very proud of you ALL. No matter the item, no matter the debate, no matter the argument, no matter the insults or the abuse, in the end our quite differences are sorted. We are ALL ex-army men with experiences to take on the world.
I cannot thank enough those that have supported me, and my written thoughts/jokes/abuse/anger/sadness and written words for our most Dear Friends that I have attended in their journey to the after world. Such sadness at these events is quite over powering. To think that one will never see those lads again, is despairing. Their little humour habits and grins on their faces, will always be remembered. I am quite sure that you, yourselves will have such memories of lads that have gone onto a much better life.
Every year brings untold misery for a friends family; or, indeed for your family. None of us are getting younger. With this fact facing us we have to make sure, that the days, months and years ahead are filled with ........SOMETHING. No matter what. Even if you are alone and have a hobby. You might be married with grown up kids and grand kids. You might be living in a bedsit or a Council House, or a 6 bedroomed house or a Campervan. No matter what, you ALL are still thought of on this site. SOMEONE out there in this wide world CAN and WILL help you if you need help. Just contact Les. Through him he can place out his tenticles and seek advice or help for YOU and will make contact with you.
I know that some of you are VERY lonely out there, as your loved one's have passed on. If you want to chat, or unburden yourself, please contact me on e-mail. I will always respond. And it will be private.
