Can anyone remember the winter of 1962/63 when we were at Shornecliffe? I was living in Hospital Lines,I had a bath Friday night but couldn't empty the bath because the waste was frozen outside.Next morning the water in the bath was frozen solid and I had to chip it out and toss it out of the window.
When the thaw came,in April, the cottage next to mine was empty,and the water pipes burst, Me and Johnny Giles had to break in to turn the water off.
Anybody else got any memories of that winter.
