HMS CUMBERLAND

I know, I know I DAM WELL KNOW, that you are ALL sick & tired of me bleating on about my beloved Cruiser HMS Cumberland.
BUT, thee who mock my words, please bear in mind that her name was carried on, and the ship; who now proudly carries her name was in the Gulf of Aden; about 60 miles south of Yemen last Tuesday. Somali Pirates were trying to hijack a Dannish cargo ship.
Cumberland let go boats to attack the pirates and killed 2. They saved the cargo boat. Pirates have been causing havoc in the Gulf of Aden, taking millions of dollars in ransomes, raising insurance costs and threatening humanitarian supplies.
So, WELL DONE my Cumberland and more power to your elbow lads. I rest my case.
