Hi Lesley,
I have found thru our local expat newspaper of an old Royal Sussex soldier living here in Spain.His name is John Moody age 97 who joined the regiment at 17 years old and trained at Chichester.
I have contacted the Editor of the artical about his history and ask him to contact Mr Moddy ref him joining us on our excellent web site, I will post of the artical to you.
